On Friday, February 1 we are back in school and wearing mismatched clothing and crazy hair! Ascension School students can show their silly side and wear mismatched clothing. Students must follow the out-of-uniform day guidelines in the Ascension Handbook (NO hair dye, hair coloring spray, hats, face make up etc.)

The Lady Chargers played the championship games on Saturday at Fenwick. The fifth grade won their game yesterday and so did the seventh grade.
Final standings were::
5- 1st, 6- 2nd, 7-3rd, 8- 2nd. Congratulations, players and coaches!

What an amazing evening of Basketball! Our 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade Lady Chargers won every game against the challengers from St. Vincent Ferrer. We've built a Gallery, with the traditional introduction of 8th grade players being presented with roses by the 8th grade boys. There are slideshows of the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade games! January 18 was Girls' Pack the Place; in anticipation, teachers and students wore Ascension shirts and Lady Chargers wore their jerseys. Mrs. Reynolds' class showed what a variety of shirts students have available! Ascension's teams won all four games against St. Vincent's. Way to go, Chargers!

Banners are ready, Lady Chargers are ready! In honor of Girls' Pack the Place, all Ascension students can wear Ascension wear on Friday, January 18. Students can wear their gym uniform or follow the Out-of-Uniform Days Policy in the handbook with any Ascension shirt or Ascension sweatshirt. Be sure to come to the gym Friday, January 18 to cheer on Grades 5, 6, 7, and 8 on the hour starting at 5:00 sharp! Reminder - Friday is a Pizza Lunch day to benefit the 8th grade! No hot lunch or milk will be served.

It will be a very exciting week after Christmas in Ascension's gym! Here is the information you need: 3-on-3 Rosters and the 3-on-3 Brackets. The Holiday action is on December 26, 27 and 28.

Remember to register by returning your permission slip! Students in grades 4 - 8 are invited to have some fun and keep active in the annual Ascension 3-on-3 Holiday Tournament. Read more details, sign up to help and complete the permission slip. This year’s tournament runs Wednesday, December 26, through Friday, December 28, 2018. Games are played between 9am – 2pm.
