Children's Lenten Project "Welcome Home" to Support Housing Forward

Over the past 25 years, many Ascension families have volunteered to help provide emergency shelter through Housing Forward’s PADS program.  Many have wondered how we can help people move from the shelters and into permanent housing. This year’s Children’s Lenten Project (CLP) is going to do just that! The details:

Our Lenten alms will help move five families out of the shelter and into homes through Housing Forward’s Supportive Housing Program. Our goal is to raise $10,000 to furnish five apartments with items that will transform them into homes. Let us Welcome Home our brothers and sisters in Christ this Lent. Go here to read about Suzanne's story and how Housing Forward helped her move out of homelessness.

Religious Education students and Ascension School students should have received packets in their classrooms at the start of Lent.  Parishioners can pick up a packet at all the entrances to church. Donations will be collected after Easter. Or for a fun way to support this mission attend our Fish Fry! Proceeds benefit this important cause. Thank you for your generosity!
