I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from St. Mary’s University in Winona, MN and a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership and Curriculum and Instruction with a Type 75 Certification from Loyola University in Chicago, IL. I began my career as a third grade teacher at St. John of the Cross Parish School in Western Springs, IL. I also taught sixth grade at The Lane School/Hinsdale Consolidated District 181 in Hinsdale, IL. I returned to St. John of the Cross Parish School in 2001 to teach and serve in various administrative and leadership roles. Most recently, I spent four years as principal and assistant principal of St. Luke School in River Forest, IL.
My husband Gary and I have two children. Matthew lives in New York and works with a company that creates records management software for police departments and Clare is working on her Doctorate in Chicago in clinical psychology. Gary is an attorney with a law firm in Chicago and enjoys cooking in his free time. When I am not spending free time with my family, you can find me gardening, reading, or walking our golden retriever, Lucy.
