The Kindergartners took a walking field trip to Fox Park on Thursday, Oct. 23rd. We ended our "Friends" reading unit and celebrated by going there with our "classroom friends." It was a beautiful day!

Mark Your Calendar Student Council will be hosting two Halloween Fun Fairs in the Pine Room after school. Students in PK-3, PK-4, and Kindergarten are invited on Monday, October 27th. Students in grades 1, 2, and 3 are invited on Tuesday, October 28. Fliers with more information will be sent home soon. Hope you can join us for an afternoon of games, prizes, and treats. Ticket cost 25¢ or 5 for $1.00.

The eighth grade class will host a pizza lunch next Wednesday, October 22. The cost is $3.50 and includes 1 piece of pizza, lemonade and a fruit snack. Additional pieces of pizza are $1.50 each. Bring CASH ONLY on the 22nd. There are no forms to fill out. This is not mandatory. If your child does not participate, please send them with a lunch and drink, as no hot lunch or milk will be served.

Join us for Mass on Wednesday October 15 for the Feast of St. Teresa of Avila
Students and Faculty will celebrate St. Teresa, Doctor of the Church, at 9:30 mass. We will sing her words "Nothing can trouble, nothing can frighten, God alone is enough."

Her symbols are a heart, an arrow, and a book. All are welcome!

Here at Ascension, our Olweus Anti-Bullying Program meetings are held weekly--all year long-- to foster good relationships among students. This week we discussed having empathy for strangers and friends.
