Wednesday, 5/27 at 11:30, or Thursday, 5/28 at 3:00 – Campaign and election meeting in room 206; applications distributed. Attendance at one of these meetings is mandatory. Applications will not be distributed at any other time.
Tuesday, 6/2 – Applications due in room 206 by 3:15 P.M. Upon receipt of the application, each student will be informed if he or she is qualified to seek Student Council office. Students who are failing any classes upon submitting their applications will not be eligible as candidates for election.
Mrs. Pesce presents some recent art projects. The seventh graders created meals out of paper that look good enough to eat. These gym shoes are created from tape and cardboard.
Friday, May 22 was the last Junior High Dance of the school year.8th graders are a little emotional, but 6th graders are excited-- this is the first Junior High Dance for them. Students ejoyed the atmoshere, the friendships and snacks and the great "2015" ice sculpture in honor of the Class of 2015.
Ascension School's Home and School Association will be hosting the annual school picnic on Friday, May 22 (Thursday, May 28 rain date) for all students in Kindergarten through grade 8. Grades K to 3 will go to Rehm Park from 9:45 am to 12:30 pm. Grades 4 to 6 will go to Rehm Park from 11:45 am to 2:30 pm. Grades 7 and 8 will go to Longfellow Park from 11:45 am to 2:30 pm.
3rd graders used small tubes, large tubes, bottles and other found objects to create wind instruments! They are on display near the music room for the next week.
Kindergarten's 5th Annual Lemonade Sale on Friday, May 15th, was once again a big success. All funds raised from the sale will go to assist Ascension's Youth Group Ministry's Appalachia Service Project summer trip. Thank you to all who were able to attend! Also, a special thank you to all our volunteers, lemonade donators, and cookie bakers!
