This is the week! The annual Kathy Adams Run-a-thon is Friday! We require all students to have a signed Run-a-thon form to participate. There are still many outstanding forms, please send yours in if you have not already! Want to come and cheer on your charger?  Please enter the Gym from the Clarence Avenue entrance.

Ascension wishes a Blessed Easter to all! Classes will resume on Monday, April 9. We hope everyones will have a safe and restful vacation. Easter Vigil begins at 7:30 PM on Saturday, March 31 with Easter Day masses at 7:30 AM, 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM.

Student Council held it's annual Fun Fair in the  Pine Room after school on Monday, March 26. Students in PK-3, PK-4, and Kindergarten had fun coloring Easter pictures, playing games, enjoying treats, and trying for prizes! Many thanks to the hard-working Student Council members for organizing the fun and showing their true Ascension spirit in making sure everyone had a great time!

This year  dismissal on Holy Thursday is at 1:30 PM. There will be NO HOT LUNCH, so why not order pizza? Pizza lunch is $3.50 and extra slice is $1.50. We must order the pizza on MONDAY, MARCH 26!  There will be no peanut butter sandwiches or drinks available, either. If you are not participating in the Pizza Lunch, please send your child(ren) with a sack lunch and drink. If you need an order form go here. Proceeds go to the Learning Resource Center!

Third grader's constructed "Bunny Baskets" for the guests at Housing Forward (formerly PADS). Each month the 3 graders make placemats for the guests as part of an ongoing service project. Serving others with a joyful, creative spirit builds connections to those in need.

Ms. Earner reminds students to use their fitness logs, which they received in PE, to complete 30 minutes of exercise a day, through April 9th. They can do any kind of exercise--walking, biking, team sports, swimming, skateboarding, jump rope etc... Students who participate will receive their free 1 day water park pass to Raging Waves before the end of May.   Raging Waves is located in Yorkville, Illinois.

Our K-4th grade chess club won first place for primary grades at the St. Mary of Riverside Chess Scholars tournament last month. Very impressive! Congratulations to the whole team!

Haphazardly Ever After by Jeff Fluharty, directed by Mrs. Eileen Lippi! Presented Thursday at 4:30 and Saturday at 2:00.

Prepare for some wacky fun in this fractured fairy tale!  The setting is a castle, but this king and queen are having a hard time with their royal offspring — four obnoxious, bratty, adult children. They are longing to be empty nesters! Can they find a way to solve this dilemma and find peace in the castle? Can this royal family live happily ever after?
