Katie Broussard, illustrator of Audacious Ignatius and Ascension School parent, read to our Mini Chargers at 9 am in the Pine Room on Friday, February 1st. Parents enjoyed complimentary coffee and treats and had the opportunity to pre-order a copy of the book. After the reading, children enjoyed some creative time!
After weeks and weeks of hard work the students were ready to present their STEM proposals on building a raised garden bed at Ascension. Each group designed their own slides to show their research and materials needed to build their garden bed. Students also explained their prototype, which they built to represent their garden bed. We are hoping these presentations help Ascension move one step closer to building a raised garden bed on the school grounds. More on Mrs. Douglass' Page

Our Ascension School website include the minutes of each School Board meeting! In fact, minutes are archived on the School Board Page for the last several years of meetings. Be "in the know" about our school! Accomplishments, events and plans for the future are all included in the monthly minutes. You can also meet the School Board members on the School Board Page.
At long last the third graders met their buddies from Mrs. Szot's 6th grade class. Younger students are paired with older students in the Ascension Buddies program. Usually students work together on a project or present something to their Buddies. Students enjoy the special relationships that grow over the years and make Ascension a close-knit Community.
