Ascension congratulates our 2nd grade students who are receiving First Eucharist the weekends of May 6-7 and May 13-14. Each child has made a personal banner to make this blessed occasion. Please stop at the front bulletin board of the school to see how each child has designed his or her special memento of the day.
Friday, May 5 was a wonderful day for Ascension, our annual Grandparents' Day! Our favorite guests arrived in the morning to visit classrooms, peruse Ms. Makowski's Art Show in the Pine Room, attend a warm reception in the gym and even have pictures taken. The school community attended mass at 19:30 and then many students went out to lunch with their grandparents or specials guests. Our thanks to the Development office and the School office for coordinating this marvelous event!
On Tuesday, March 21 we celebrate St. Joseph, the foster-father of Jesus. Joseph showed tremendous faith in God, taking Mary as his wife. Tradition holds that he was a carpenter, and taught the child Jesus as he grew in age, grace, and wisdom. Mass is at 9:30 AM. Please join us!
Grade 3 Room 108 prayed the Rosary today as a class.
Mrs. Brunick came into our class to help led the Rosary with Mrs. White. Many students brought a Rosary from home.
What a prayerful beginning to Lent! More pictures here on Mrs. Bracco and Mrs. White's Teacher Page.
