Peace & Justice
At Ascension and St. Edmund Parish, you will find a passionate and caring community committed to extending a helping hand and building awareness of the deep injustices we find in our community and beyond. Our parishioners participate in and lead a number of initiatives throughout the year.
Peace & Justice Initiatives are coordinated by our parish Peace and Justice committee. The Peace & Justice Committee is a vibrant committee focused on many issues/concerns based on Catholic social teaching. Areas of focus include - Immigration, End Violence (Congregations Committed to Peace), Hunger (Community Garden), The Environment [Honoring Our Mother Earth (HOME Team)] and other issues/concerns which arise.
